I guess everyone has a song that they love and for no particular reason. It just clicks! From the first time you hear the song it just resonates. “Jean Genie” is one of those songs for me.
A great way to find out what your song is to think, “Have I ever skipped this song when it came on? Even once?” If the answer is never than you have a winner.
The chorus of ‘Jean Genie” with the hand claps, great guitar riffs and Bowie just riding the rhythm in a perfect manner just makes me smile every time.
I also tagged “Iggy Pop” for this track because I am pretty sure Bowie wrote this track with Iggy in mind.
